Calmar resident taken to the hospital Thursday following two-vehicle accident

A car driven by a Calmar man crossed over the center line on Highway 52 at 175th Street Thursday morning around 7:30, striking a truck and trailer being driven by a New Hampton man.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says 40-year-old Cory Scholbrock of Calmar was injured in the accident and taken to Winneshiek Medical Center.

The accident did "significant damage." It remains under investigation.
