A man wanted on several burglary charges has been taken into custody in Fayette County

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office is announcing that a man wanted for burglaries in Winneshiek, Chickasaw, Fayette and Clayton counties has been safely taken into custody in Fayette County.

The Sheriff's Office over the weekend posted a plea for help from the public in finding Mark Schroeder.  A later news release from the Sheriff's Office announced, "Thanks to your tips Schroeder was apprehended by Fayette County Sheriff's Office without incident."

Mark Schroeder is accused of several burglaries and auto thefts in Northeast Iowa.
