Northeast Iowa ArtWalk begins Monday

The Northeast Iowa Art Walk will take place in the storefront windows of many downtown Decorah businesses starting Monday and running through October 18th.

Typically, art lovers purchase local art during the Northeast Iowa Artists' Studio Tour. This year the event has been "reimagined" this year and will be taking place virtually on October 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Says Winneshiek County Development and Tourism Director Stephanie Fromm, "This Art Walk is happening instead of the Northeast Iowa Artist's Studio Tour. It is more about supporting the virtual, on-line studio tour that will happen this year by providing a place for artists to showcase their art in Decorah. It also gives us a chance to draw people downtown to see the art in a safe way."
