Decorah School District releases details of this year's modified Homecoming events for Decorah High School

Decorah High School's Homecoming festivities will look different this year in many ways, but will still look to celebrate as safely as possible. 
 
Homecoming week festivities will kick off with the Homecoming King and Queen Coronation at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Viking Stadium. Coronation will include a performance by the Pride of the Vikings Marching Band. 
 
Later in the week on Friday afternoon, high school students will participate in an outdoor pep assembly and visit middle school and elementary students to share their Viking Pride.  Members of the Homecoming Court will follow a route to parade to the Middle School and Elementary buildings. 
 
In an effort to safely manage physical distancing of participants and spectators, the annual parade will not occur on Friday afternoon.  Any class reunions gathering as a part of this year's homecoming events will be welcomed to participate in next year's parade.

 2:30 p.m. - Homecoming Court Tour of Middle School and Elementary Buildings
 4:45 p.m. - 9th Football w/ Waverly-Shell Rock
 7:30 p.m. - Varsity Football w/ Waverly-Shell Rock
 8:00 p.m. - Marching Band @ Halftime of Football Game
8:30 a.m. - Varsity Volleyball @ Western Dubuque
9:00 a.m. - Girls Swimming and Diving @ Dubuque Aquatic Center
