Already in jail, a Winneshiek County inmate gets served a warrant

49-year-old Ricky Ohm of West Union was already in the Winneshiek County Jail on Friday morning when he was served with a warrant.

Ohm had entered a negotiated plea last March to several criminal charges, getting a Class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance dismissed in exchange for pleading guilty to a charge of second of subsequent sex offender registration offense and a charge of second offense operating while under the influence.

Ohm had been sentenced to up to five years in prison, but was placed on probation for two to five years.  On Friday he was served an arrest warrant for allegedly violating the terms of his probation.  A court order has been issued concluding that Ohm has violated his probation and should serve his prison term instead.
