Two-vehicle accident in Decorah causes $4,000 in damages

A car and an SUV collided on Iowa Avenue Wednesday afternoon, causing a total of $4,000 in damages.

Decorah Police say 36-year-old Jennifer Newton of Little Cedar, Iowa turned west onto Iowa Avenue from College Drive at the same time 22-year-old Austin Hansen of Howell, Michigan, turned into the Decorah Mart parking lot from Iowa Avenue.

Neither driver was injured and no tickets were issued.
