Vesterheim Museum will be holding its Barnetimen Children's Hour online to begin the school year.
Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to join the first session of the new season from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday via livestream on
www.vesterheim.org/live or Vesterheim's Facebook page.A recording will be available any time after the event on Vesteheim's YouTube channel.
Connect with Vesterheim's Youth Educator Jennifer Kovarik to explore objects in the museum's collection and make art inspired by those objects.
"This month's exploration and art activity are all about spoons, something we have a lot of at Vesterheim and that you probably have in your home, too," Kovarik said. A list of materials and instructions for the make-at-home art project will be available before the program at
www.vesterheim.org/program/barnetimen-childrens-hour-9-2020.
Barnetimen meets the third Tuesday of the month, September through April, and is geared toward 3- to 5-year-olds, but all ages are welcome. The program is free of charge and no previous sign-up is necessary.
