It's been dry in Decorah this summer. Decorah weather statistician Richard Bernatz reported that 1.26 inches of rain was all that fell during August.
But this week has been a different story. The National Weather Service Office in La Crosse says 1.85 inches of rain has fallen from 9:00 Tuesday morning through 1:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon. That means way more rain has fallen in the last 52 hours than fell in 744 hours in August!
