The Iowa Secretary of State's Office has sent out an absentee ballot request form to each registered voter in the state. Many political parties, candidates, political organizations, and others also send out absentee ballot request forms. Voters only need to return one of these forms.
The Winneshiek County Auditor's office also has forms available. If businesses, churches, gathering places, or anyone wants to pick up forms to distribute at their place of gathering, stop in at the Auditor's Office to pick up the forms.
Absentee Ballot request forms should be returned to the Auditor's Office, put in the drop box at the Courthouse, or mailed to: 201 W Main St, Decorah.
Absentee ballots will be mailed out on October 5th. In-person absentee voting in the Auditor's Office also starts October 5th during normal business hours.
Election questions should be directed to (563) 382-5085 or auditor@co.winneshiek.ia.us.
