Postville man killed in Labor Day Weekend accident

A Postville resident was killed in a traffic accident over the Labor Day weekend.

72-year-old Byron Meyer was driving a utility vehicle on Gunder Road on Saturday when a passenger car tried to pass him using the oncoming lane. Meyer tried to turn west onto 120th Street and collided with the passenger car, getting ejected from his UTV.  A 68-year-old woman driving with Meyer was wearing a seat belt.  She was injured and hospitalized.
