29 Decorah residents have been named to the Dean's List at Luther College

Luther College is publicizing the list of Decorah residents named to the spring 2020 Dean's List at the college.

29 students made the list.  Seniors named to the list are Garret Baumler, Abigail Cornejo, Melanie Gossman,  Winter Hawley-Bourcier, Isabel Iverson, Kelsey Kruse, Isaiah Mitchell, Jake Muhlbauer, Trevor Phillips, Jarod Phillips, Lane Rahlf, Anna Spencer, Abigail Toussaint and Abby Trewin.  Juniors named to the list are  Maddie Davis, Sierra Duncan,  Rye Hawley-Bourcier,  Hallie Johnson, Meron Kahsay, Harley McCabe, Tintin Phongsavath,  Rylea Ranum, Emma Rooney, Rachelle Sullivan, Solomon Thompson and Sam Wilson.  Three sophomores are on the list: Thais Michelson, Emma Fretheim and Avery Zheng.  There were no first-year students on the list.

Luther College's spring 2020 Dean's List includes 850 students; 3 first-years, 165 sophomores, 231 juniors and 451 seniors.  The requirements to be named to the Dean's List were amended as the semester was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. To be named to the Spring 2020 Dean's List, a student must have earned a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale, must have completed at least 12 credit hours with 8 hours (previously 10 credit hours) of conventional grades (A, B, C, D) and have no more than one "incomplete" credit hour with no "F" or "NC" grades.
