The dry weather has been good for construction crews as progress is moving along on Locust Road.
Installation of the new storm sewer pipes is almost complete, and the contractor has started grading the new roadway in preparation for paving the new concrete road. If you have driven by Locust Road recently, you may have noticed many of the trees and brush along the side of the road have been removed. This will be done throughout much of the project to better accommodate the new wider roadway, but also to allow additional sunlight in the corridor in an effort to reduce icy road conditions in the winter.
