COVID-19 cases in Winneshiek County hit one milestone, threaten to surpass another

Winneshiek County currently has 100 people with active cases of COVID-19, according to the State of Iowa's coronavirus website.  That's the first time the county has reached that number in the six months of the pandemic.

Overall, there have been 197 cases of COVID-19 since March, with 112 of them occurring in August.  Of the 197 cases, 96 have recovered, one person has died and 100 are still recovering.

Winneshiek County now has the highest total of COVID-19 of any of the six counties in the northeast corner of Iowa, although Howard County has a higher rate of infection right now.
