Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office warns of a telephone SCAM

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office is warning area residents of an ongoing telephone scam. Scammers are claiming to work for the IRS, and are demanding to give them money or they will have you arrested.  Scammers have even told citizens they have been in contact with deputies from the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office.  This is a SCAM!  Please remember to NEVER give out any personal information or send any money to these scammers!
