Decorah's Luna Valley Farms is getting national exposure for its on-the-farm pizza business.
Owners Tom and Maren Beard were photographed--and mentioned--it a story about Midwest pizza farms. The article said:
"The popular Iowa Margherita pie at Luna Valley Farm, in Decorah, Iowa, has Italian sausage crumbled over the basic formula of fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and basil leaves. The only thing Tom and Maren Beard don't make themselves is drinks.
"We have three breweries in a 10-mile radius, local soda and natural wine," Ms. Beard said, and partnerships with local businesses have also become part of the pizza farm ethos."
