Winneshiek County Habitat for Humanity has selected its latest partner family

The newest partner family for Winneshiek County Habitat for Humanity is Lori Kuboushek and her children, Katelyn and Kyle.

Lori and her family have already begun to put in the 150 hours of "sweat equity" that Habitat for Humanity asks of all partner families into the home build in Calmar. Lori says it is a great way to get to know the volunteers who are donating their time to build her home and to learn some of the skills involved in home construction. "I truly feel so excited, so grateful, and so blessed."

Volunteers began construction in July and will continue throughout the fall, with an expected finish in time for Thanksgiving. When complete, Lori will purchase the home from Winneshiek County Habitat for Humanity for a 30 year, 0% interest mortgage.
