COVID-19 cases in Winneshiek County are soaring

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Winneshiek County is spiking.

Since Monday, August 3rd, and running through Friday morning of this week, there have been a total of 60 new cases confirmed.  A new record for one-day confirmed cases was set on Monday, with 8 confirmed cases.  That number was then changed to 10 confirmed cases--then it was surpassed by Tuesday's total of 11 confirmed cases

There were a total of 85 cases until the start of August--a rate of three cases every four days.  In August, that rate has jumped to a rate of more than 13 cases every four days.

Winneshiek County's COVID-19 rate is now at 724 cases per 100,000 population.
