No injuries in a two-vehicle accident

On Tuesday afternoon, the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office responded to a motor vehicle accident in Madison Township in Decorah.

61-year-old Gary Bugger of Boone was traveling westbound on Highway 9, going up a hill. Meanwhile, 45-year-old Paul Hunter of Decorah was traveling eastbound coming down the hill. Bugger drifted into the eastbound lane and Hunter took evasive action and honked his horn. Bugger and Hunter collided causing damage to outside mirrors and mounts.

The accident caused $700 of damage to the vehicles. Bugger was cited for failure to yield half of roadway.
