Letter to the Editor: Police officers are not the "bad guys" in enforcing the new mask ordinance

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by C. Dennis Ohlert of Decorah):

"While I believe mask-wearing is a great idea (I've worn mine almost since Day-1), I have serious doubts about the motivation for the Decorah City Council's order.   Are they doing this out of concern for the population?   Or do they think we're too stupid to take care of ourselves?  OR is it political spite, since it is my understanding that only the Governor has the authority to issue this sort of order?

A note to Decorah citizens:  when you have an encounter with a police officer over this, bear in mind they are not the "bad guys," having been put in this position by the Council and its possibly illegal order."
