Decorah High School's Associate Principal and Activities Director Adam Riley was recently interviewed for a podcast that aired on Corn Nation Radio, a subdivision of the Sports Blog Nation website. Throughout the 40 minute conversation, host Jon Johnston asked Riley to fill in listeners about how Decorah is preparing for fall activities.
Riley covers many topics including how student-athletes and coaches/teachers are doing, his biggest concerns for fall athletics, the complexity of how decisions are being made, the benefits of allowing kids to safely return to activities, and what strong leadership in these unprecedented times looks like. He emphasized how difficult it is to make decisions right now with guidelines quickly changing and new information coming in daily. "It's like building a plane while trying to fly it," Riley said.
