Letter to the Editor: Have you seen my missing gnome?

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Bob Wilson of Decorah):

"42 years ago, for Lynette and my first anniversary, my mother-in-law presented us with a ceramic, hand-painted garden gnome she 'created,' complete with his trusty watering can. We took a picture of him peeking out from amidst the cosmos in our first flower garden.  He has had a place of honor in every garden since. From a monetary or artistic view, he isn't worth much, but since both Lynette and my mother-in-law are no longer with me, his sentimental value is considerable.

This year, his wanderlust got the better of him and he has chosen to see the world. Should you see him out and about, wish him well...and tell him to send a postcard (he's a bit of a troglodite when it comes to technology)."
