The Decorah School Board discussed future plans for the North Winneshiek property at Monday evening's meeting.
Superintendent Mark Lane stated the board has been previously presented with pursuing a feasibility study for the property, however, with the already known expensive one-time and monthly costs, the school district would like to sell the property and not remain landlords.
All were in agreement that it is important to be as transparent as possible to taxpayers and to let them know the school board is interested in selling the property, either in its entirety or in parts.
Lane recommended a tour of the North Winneshiek facility, with a work session to follow at the location. The board set the meeting to take place on Wednesday, August 19th, beginning with a tour at 6:00 p.m.
