Winneshiek County Public Health Director Krista Vanden Brink told county supervisors on Monday that no further action is planned with the statement in support of mask wearing approved by the Board of Health.
The board's action was to strongly recommend wearing masks as a way of preventing COVID-19, but to stop short of calling for a mandate to wear masks.
"It stops there," she told supervisors on Monday. She said county health officials are watching other counties to see what happens to the mask mandates they approved. Still, there are no plans to bring up a mask mandate at this time.
