Pulpit Rock Brewery has announced its plans for its 5th anniversary

Pulpit Rock Brewery has dropped its request to use part of Wayside Park for its 5th anniversary celebration.

The business had asked the City of Decorah for permission to use the park, but following a lengthy discussion with city council members, decided it would confine its 5th anniversary event to its own property because of safety concerns

On Thursday the business began taking registrations for a lottery for the 150 tickets that will be issued for the event on Saturday, August 22nd.  The event will be centered on the release of "Five," a double barrel anniversary imperial stout, with hints of fresh hazelnuts, cacao, vanilla, and coffee.

Doors for the event will open to ticket holders at 10:00 am on the 22nd and will open at noon to the public.  Ticket holders must be able to pick up a bottle of "Five" in person on Saturday, August 22nd or Sunday, August 23rd.
