Ask The Answer Person: What has happened to the waterfall along Dug Road?

(Steven e-mails: "There used to be a little human-made waterfall on Dug Road. It trickled down the rocks and was very pretty. I am curious as to why there is no longer a waterfall there. Will there be one in the future?"):

The Answer Person says: "Thanks for your question! There's no human cause to the drying up of the waterfall. Decorah Park-Rec Director Andy Nimrod says, 'It's dry, drier than most any time in the last few years. I did look at it a little bit ago and it is running a little bit at the top but falling into the nooks and crevices before it gets down to the clean out basin.'

So the answer to getting the water flowing again is pretty simple--we need rain!"
