Cresco man arrested for theft at Walmart

On July 21st, Walmart staff contacted the Decorah Police Department regarding a suspected fraudulent return of merchandise. Officers identified 29-year-old Scott Alexander Simonds of Cresco as the suspect and applied for an arrest warrant.

On Saturday, the Howard County Sheriff's Office arrested Simonds on the warrant, and Decorah officers booked Simonds into the Winneshiek County Jail on a charge of Theft, Third Degree.
