The Decorah Music Boosters is giving the community the opportunity to purchase Decorah Vikings face coverings while at the same time supporting the Decorah music programs. To see the different styles and designs available for this fundraiser, and to submit an order, click here.
Decorah Superintendent Mark Lane commented in his July 24th email to parents, "Please take advantage of this opportunity to show your Viking Pride, to demonstrate your care for our community, and to support our Music Boosters by purchasing the face coverings of your choice."
In addition, each student and staff member in the district will be provided one free face mask thanks to 15 community sponsors' donations. These face masks, however, are not pictured in the above link. Instead, they will be a unique design that will include a space for writing students' names.
The list of sponsors for the free masks include: A & J Petersburg Agency, Dave and Candace Arp, Bodensteiner Implement Company, DECO Products Company, Decorah Bank & Trust Company, Freedom Bank, Hacker, Nelson & Co., P.C., CPAs, KAR Auto Group, Kelly Real Estate/Kelly Building Systems, Kerndt Brothers Bank, Lynch BBQ Company, Lynch Family Foundation, Olson Explosives, Inc., Trial Lawyers for Justice, Viking State Bank & Trust, and Winneshiek Medical Center
All face masks will be available and distributed close to the beginning of the school year, which is scheduled to begin on August 24th.
