Since Thursday, Winneshiek County's cumulative COVID-19 case count has jumped up 5 cases from 66 to 71. The recoveries have also increased from 46 to 51, and the death count remains the same at one. Current known active cases include people ranging from 8 to 65 years old. Many of those cases report very mild symptoms including a stuffy nose. Winneshiek County Public Health Director Krista Vanden Brink warns that mild symptoms can easily be blamed on allergies and air conditioning when in fact they may be a result of COVID-19.
