Letter to the Editor: Walmart deserves praise for setting a masking wearing requirement.

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Dale B. Olson of Decorah):

"I have been wearing a mask and protective eyewear in stores for the past few months. Unexpectedly, I had the necessity to replace a storage battery this week.  In going to Walmart for the replacement, it was good to see everyone wearing face protection of some kind (mask, shield, etc.).  It not only felt a little safer than when the majority of patrons were not wearing the protection, but it was a good feeling to be a part of a community where everyone was doing their part to try to limit the spread of the Covid-19 (based on the information available at the present time).
 
Kudos to Walmart for being among the leaders in setting this precedent.  Also, thanks to all employees (in all stores) for diligently wearing the facial protective gear for several months – we only have to wear it while shopping, whereas you are wearing it for your full shift (for the benefit of us, as well as yourselves)."
