Traffic stop Wednesday leads to numerous charges being filed

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says seven different charges have been filed against a Los Angeles man following a traffic stop Wednesday.
39-year-old Luke Scheffert was arrested for operating while under the influence and taken to the Winneshiek County Jail. While Scheffert was being booked into the jail, sheriff's deputies say multiple scheduled controlled substances, including ecstasy, oxycontin, hydrocodone, and amphetamines, were found in his possession.
In addition to the OWI charge, Scheffert now faces three counts of possession of schedule 2 controlled substance 2nd Offense; one count of possession of schedule 4 controlled substance 2nd Offense; one count of possession of controlled substance 2nd offense; and one count of failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
