The Des Moines Register says the Charles City School District wants to cancel all athletic contests with Waverly-Shell Rock in the 2020-2021 school year.
The article says Charles City Superintendent Mike Fisher has asked Waverly-Shell Rock for "metrics and score boarding that will measure and account for improvement/growth" and "clear accountability for meeting/not meeting the metrics" during the year that Charles City does not play Waverly-Shell Rock.
