The Peace Be the Journey bike ride for mental health awareness will look a little different this year because of COVID-19. In years past, the fundraiser has been a one-day event, but this year it will take place virtually over the course of 1 month.
Event organizers Mike and Amanda Peterson explain, "Instead of having a one day bike ride, we are going to have a virtual one month ride. Participants can go to an "online store" August 3rd through 18th and purchase shirts, hoodies, decals and bags with the Peace Be the Journey logo. Each item purchased makes a donation to the Winneshiek Medical Center Foundation, which helps provide materials for patients and continuing education for doctors.
The virtual ride will be held from the beginning of September to the First Saturday in October. For more information visit http://peacebethejourneybikeride.travel.blog/…/we-are-ready/
