Letter to the Editor: "Wear a mask and stay at home if possible."

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Randall Hanson of Calmar in response to the Letter to the Editor from from Dr. Kevin Sand, Dr. David Bakken and Dr. Max Quass):

We need to listen to our experts in the field of contagious diseases, like our local doctors and Dr. Fauci and others.  The Politicians who are pushing for things to get back to normal are not looking at the reality of the situation, they are only thinking about money.  People's lives are at stake here.  Our own Governor Kim Reynolds has failed to listen to the experts also.

We can beat this pandemic disease by simply letting our elected officials know that public health is a lot more important than opening up schools too soon and taking chances that are made on unrealistic wishes as Kim Reynolds and Don Trump are doing.  But people must speak up and contact our elected officials and tell them to listen to the experts like Dr. Michael Osterholm and Dr. Fauci and others.  The whole forest is on fire, we must accept that we have to make some sacrifices and wait for this fire to burn itself out.

So wear a mask and stay at home if possible.  The economy will be fine.  This country closed down for a World War and we recovered just fine with the right leadership.  We must do it again and soon things will be back to normal if we do not rush into it."
