There are two different plans for an 8-plex apartment project being sent to the Decorah City Council

When the Decorah City Council next Monday night is asked to decide about a proposed apartment complex on St. Lawrence Street, it will have two possible site plans to choose from--not one.
The procedure hasn't been used in decades, but it could be a way to break the impasse over whether the apartment complex should be built. Neighbors have objected to the plans for parking on the property, among other issues. The 9th site plan called for eight enclosed garages and eight surface parking spots.
A 10th version of the site plan (pictured above) was presented Monday night to the city's Planning and Zoning Commission. It would have a different hybrid of garage parking and surface parking.
Both Monday night's site plan and the previously-approved site plan will be sent to the Decorah City Council for its July 20th meeting--and city council members will get to choose between the two site plans or reject both of them.
