Excess money from the July 3rd Bluffton fireworks display has been donated to the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office
Not only did donations cover all of the costs of the Bluffton fireworks show on Friday, July 3rd, but there were funds left over.
Now organizers of the event say the extra money--$1,500--has been donated to the Sheriff's Office.
"We are extremely thankful for the support and patriotism shown by the people of Winneshiek County, especially during this time," said Sheriff Dan Marx.
The fireworks display was put on by Levi Holstad of Fort Atkinson and four other volunteers from around NE Iowa.
