Ridiculous Day will be held July 18th in Decorah

The retail promotion, which features on-street bargains from downtown Decorah stores, will start at 8:00 a.m. that Saturday.  The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce had asked the City of Decorah for permission to close Water Street from State Street to Mechanic Street on that date, but has now decided to ask the city to close just the 200 West Water Street block, which will allow traffic coming from the east to redirect onto Winnebago Street.

All recommended health measures will be in effect during Ridiculous Day, including social distancing; encouraging the wearing of masks; and the use of online and curbside sales if consumers are not comfortable attending on the street and sidewalk.
