Decorah driver distracted by the new Kwik Star

On Friday, 17-year old Mya Numedahl of Decorah was driving down Montgomery St. while looking at the events at the new Kwik Star and failed to stop in time before rear-ending the stationary vehicle of 61-year-old Raymond Armel of West Union. Armel's vehicle was stopped at a stoplight when the crash occurred.

Numedahl's vehicle accumulated $5,000 in damages and was towed from the scene. Armel's vehicle accumulated $2,000 in damages and was driven away.
