Gift cards sold by the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce bring in $38,000 in sales for local businesses

One of the ways the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce helped local businesses during the COVID-19 epidemic was through selling gift cards for the businesses.  Around 60 Decorah area businesses signed up for the program, which was handled through the Chamber's website.

Chamber Executive Director Kristina Wiltgen says the program sold a total of $38,000 in gift cards.  There were 200 orders placed, coming from 25 different cities in eight different states.

Tuesday marked the wrap-up of the gift card program.
