Locust Road project is underway

Posted: Wed, Jun 24, 2020 9:12 AM

Work has begun on the Locust Road project.

City Engineer Jeremy Bril notes, "Crews have completed most of the pavement removal. They peeled off the top layer of the road and then dumped the material into dump trucks. The pavement will be recycled into usable new pavement which will be utilized in a different undetermined project at a later date."

Locust Road's revamp is in its first of two phases. The first phase involves working on the lower section from College Drive to around 719 Locust Road. After that portion is completed, including the sidewalks, work will move to the upper section of 719 Locust Road to Pine Crest Street.
