COVID-19 vaccine predicted to be available by the end of 2021

Winneshiek County Public Health Director Krista Vanden Brink says the COVID-19 vaccine is predicted to be available at the end of 2021. In the meantime, continue to wear face masks and social distance so that there is not an increase in active cases.

Vanden Brink defines an active case as a person under isolation or a positive case under investigation.

Currently there are zero active cases in Winneshiek County; 27 active cases in Allamakee County; six in Chickasaw County; one in Clayton County; one in Fayette County; and four in Howard County.
