It's Time to Audition for New Minowa Player's virtual show

New Minowa Players directors Indigo Fish and Hallie Johnson are excited for auditions for the 2020 Young People's Production. Due to COVID-19, the originally scheduled show "Little Shop of Horrors" has been postponed until 2021.  Directors Hallie Johnson and Indigo Fish will direct a virtual show entitled "The Quarantine Cabaret".  All young people going into 7th grade through just having graduated from college are eligible to audition, and people at all levels of experience are welcome.

Maintaining the health and safety of all participants and audience members is a top priority for New Minowa Players.  This year's August show will take place in a different format than previous Young People's Productions. "The Quarantine Cabaret" will feature various acts that will be recorded and released to the public as videos. Rehearsal schedules will be more flexible and individualized, and will take place online in Zoom calls during the month of July, with online performances available to the public August 7th through 14th. If you have ever wanted to be a part of NMP's Young People's Production but felt that you lived too far away, this is your opportunity to be in a show from the comfort of your own home.
 
Those wanting to audition should complete the YPP audition form at  newminowaplayers.org/jajflajfalfjl and follow the guidelines outlined for sending in a video of yourself performing a 60 second monologue and another video of yourself singing 16-30 bars of a song. It is preferred that the music be from musical theatre but anything you are comfortable singing is acceptable.  Audition recordings should be emailed to directors Indigo Fish atfishin01@luther.edu and Hallie Johnson at johnha07@luther.edu.
 
When you record your videos please make sure as much of your body is in frame as possible, especially your face.
