Video highlights six school lunch programs nationally--including Decorah's

Decorah School District Food Service Director Chad Elliott is being featured in a YouTube video entitled "Honoring School Food Heroes" created by the Chef Ann Foundation to promote school food service during the COVID crisis.

The Decorah School district was recognized for its use of local and hyper-local ingredients incorporated into the Grab and Go bags offered to families during the shutdown of school due to the pandemic.

The video includes Chad Elliot sharing his views; many images of the food in the Grab and Go bags; the Decorah High School greenhouse; and Decorah High School science teachers Tim Hayes and Brad Johansen. Elliott remarked, "I appreciate everyone's efforts, especially of Brad and Tim in the greenhouse. They make us look good!"
