Luther College is holding "Virtual Visit Days" as a way of reaching prospective students

The Luther College Admissions Office has reached its goal of getting over 500 entering students to make a deposit on tuition for the fall of 2020, according to school officials.  But admission counselors continue to work on increasing that number and attracting next year's entering students as well.

One step admissions counselors are taking is to hold "Virtual Summer Preview Days."  There will be four sessions -- one per day -- on June 24th, July 8th, July 22nd and August 5th.

Since many families are reluctant to travel to Decorah, the aim of "Virtual Summer Preview Days" is to bring Luther College to prospective students.  Each virtual visit can be tailored to the interests of the student, highlighting music programs, academic offerings or sports programs.  Prospective students can take a guided campus tour by computer.  They can also register for a 30-minute virtual one-on-one meeting with an admissions counselor to learn more about the overall Luther College student experience.  High School juniors and seniors can register for a virtual one-on-one meeting with a coach or music director in their specific area of interest.  Prospective students can also attend a virtual seminar led by a Luther College faculty member to see what it's like to learn and be a student at Luther College.

To round out the virtual visit, an online video will show prospective students how Decorah offers a variety of places to shop, eat and enjoy the outdoors.
