The Winneshiek Medical Center Auxiliary is awarding scholarships to seven local students pursuing health care professions.
The scholarships were given to Shira Hageman, who is studying Radiologic Technology at NICC; Amber Brincks, who is studying Diagnostic Medical Sonography at Chippewa Valley Technical College; Alison Sexton, who is studying to become an Orthoptist at the University of Buffalo-Ross Eye Institute; Gracie Schmitt, who is studying Nursing at NICC; Anna Kane, who is studying Pharmacy and Public Health at the University of Iowa; Allison Klimesh, who is enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine program at the University of Iowa; and Dailen Folkedahl, who is studying Osteopathic Medicine at the University of New England.
The Winneshiek Medical Center Auxiliary offers their annual Health Career Scholarship to residents of Winneshiek County pursuing a health care profession. The applicant must be accepted into an accredited health career program to be eligible.
