Ask The Answer Person: "What are those pink and black ribbons you see in Decorah parks?"

(Mike asks: "I've noticed these pink and black plastic ribbons when I've been in parks in Decorah.  What are they and why are they being put up?"):

The Answer Person says: "The pink and black ribbons marks places where garlic mustard has been found.  Volunteers put up the ribbons so they will remember to come back later in the same year or the next year."
