Developers and neighbors to meet with Decorah officials to work on plans for a St. Lawrence Street apartment complex

Neighbors of a proposed 8-unit apartment complex on St. Lawrence Street in Decorah still have concerns about the plans.  Neighbors say the apartment complex would add to flooding issues and is out of character with the rest of the neighborhood, but supporters of the project point to the need for affordable housing in Decorah.

While the plans have won the unanimous approval of the city's Planning & Zoning Commission, City Administrator Chad Bird has scheduled a meeting with the developers and neighbors to go over several issues before the proposal is presented to the Decorah City Council.
