Decorah woman ticketed following accident on Conover Road

A Decorah woman lost control of her car Sunday morning as she was driving on Conover Road around 7:00.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Caitlin Peel was traveling east on Conover Road when her wheels dropped off the roadway.  Peel's vehicle then entered the south ditch.  The vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its wheels. Peel then continued to drive through a barbed wire fence and into a cornfield. 

No ambulance transported was needed. The accident did $12,000 in damages.

Peel was ticketed for failure to maintain control of her vehicle.
