The Oneota Co-op reopened its doors to the public on Monday with new precautions in place.
Masks are required for all staff and customers. Free masks donated by the Seamsters Union of Winneshiek County are available in the entryway.
Customers must also wash or sanitize their hands at stations located at the entrance of the co-op. Additional hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the store.
Families should limit their members in the store to no more than two or three people. The number of people in-store will also be limited to 30.
Payment by debit or credit card is optimal, but cash is accepted.
Restrooms are closed to the public.
The co-op has also remodeled a few store features for reopening. The scoop bins in the bulk department have prebagged items, as outside containers and bags are not permitted. The deli, including the hot bar and salad bar, is not open, but "grab-n-go" and "heat-n-eat" options are available as well as larger, take-home meals.
General Manager David Lester comments that the co-op "feels like a very safe space for our employees and customers."
The co-op is also continuing curbside pickup on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
