Letter to the Editor: Why weren't the First Congressional Republican Party primary results on decorahnews.com?

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Jeanett Hansen of Decorah):

"It was an eye opener for me to go to this website on Wednesday morning and see there was not one mention of my husband, Thomas Hansen, also, nothing on the local radio station, about results of the 1st Congressional seat (Republican Party) race.

We all know in an election only one goes on, but to act like all he has done, all his family has sacrificed and the voice of almost 11,000 people who voted for him meant nothing is disgusting. I am saddened and ashamed of what is happening in my home town that has been the same home town of my family for 3 generations before me.

Those of us that believe in the Constitution and hold our Faith and Liberties close to our hearts will hold our heads high. What about you?"

(Editor's note: We can't speak for the local radio station, but in our case we considered the First Congressional District Republican Party primary to be a statewide race and left it to state media to cover.  Our coverage was focused on local County Supervisor races)
