Vesterheim Museum's groundbreaking for its Heritage Park project has been postponed

Vesterheim Museum had originally announced that it would hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday for its new outdoor campus, "Heritage Park."

But a news release from the museum has announced, "Vesterheim stands with all who are mourning and seeking justice for George Floyd and with those who suffer the effects of racism in countless ways in their daily lives."

The Vesterheim news release continues, "To avoid distracting from this historic moment and the needs of their communities, we have decided to postpone our ceremony."  Vesterheim says it will announced a new date for the event at a later date.
